Book a Campanile
A stopover
in a hotel can break the journey from Calais. Campaniles offer
good "motel" style rooms. Rooms with a double and single
bed are £40 a night and the attached restaurants are cheap
and decent quality. Rouen (on the Vache roundabout, you go past
the door) and Alencon are convenient from Calais.

Distance from
Calais to site is 505 miles. A new motorway opened in late 2005
from Rouen to Le Mans so it's motorway nearly all the way which
makes this route much
more practical than it used to be. |
